In the spring of 2015 I presented a   poster  at the CWAM (Colorado-Wyoming Association of Museums)  annual meeting . My poster was called "How Manage Without the Real Thing" and it dealt with the issue of casts/molds and replicas in collections. I looked at this challenge for collections managers from an anthropology, art, and paleontology perspective because each type of collection handles the issue of replicated objects very differently.
