While working as an art handler and preparator in the Bay Area I've gotten to experience hanging/installing artwork under all kinds of intense environments including art fairs, private residences, office spaces, galleries, museums, and libraries. I'm at ease loading and driving trucks, hanging large works on ladders, and quickly measuring to mount hanging hardware. Art handling as a team is crucial, and even though it's a very male-dominated industry, I've managed to navigate this space as a young woman and become a part of some really great teams.
